This is a very rare, original, high quality solid bronze bookends featuring an ornate Eastlake design fireplace and hearth.  A clock is centered on the top of the mantle, flanked by candleabras.  These also come with the original andirons which are separate pieces.  It is rare that these would survive all these years.  The inside of the fireplace and the base is incised to look like bricks and stone.  The bookends are 5 3/4" tall to top of clock, 4 " tall to top of mantle, 5 1/2" wide and 2 3/4" deep. The andirons stand 1 5/8" tall and 2" long. Each bookend weighs 2 lbs. 6 oz. (4 lbs. 12 oz. for the pair).  The clock and candles are separate pieces attached with the original round-headed single-slotted screws. This set was made in the 1930's.  A treasured collector's item to be passed on for generations.  Authenticity is assured as both are signed 'Graham Bronze' on the back.
